Outposts racks capacity can be accessed locally over a local gateway that is mapped to the customer’s local network, in addition to having a connection path back to the AWS Region. You can learn more about using the AWS Cloud, including Outposts racks, for GxP systems here.
The Outposts network rack power shelf supports one power configuration. Each Outposts compute rack supports 15KVA-30KVA power supply and redundant feeds. Outposts racks are designed for high availability with redundant network switches and power connections. You can also provision your Outpost compute racks with additional capacity for resiliency. AWS delivers the Outposts racks to your preferred physical site fully assembled and ready to be rolled into final position.
Each AWS Outposts rack is configured with redundant top-of-rack switches called Outpost Networking Devices (ONDs). The compute and storage servers in each rack connect to both ONDs.
